Youth Team Member
Volunteer Youth Team Members are crucial to the St John Ambulance Cadet Programme. Working with young people aged 10 to 18 years you'll be guiding them during weekly session as they learn vital first aid skills, develop their leadership, communication and teamworking skills, work towards their Grand Prior Award and have fun in a safe, supportive environment.

What will you be doing?
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone considering working with young people, or those already working with young people in other settings. No particular experience is required, but a willingness to learn, a desire to have fun and to become a positive influence in a young person's life are desired.

Good communication skills with young people is desirable
Will training be given or available?
Yes, essential training for the role is provided along with a uniform. All resources needed to deliver sessions are available online, additional resources are available as required. Youth Team Members are not expected to deliver the first aid training to young people (we have a separate team to do this), but individuals can do additional training to gain this skill if they want to.
