We are seeking a friendly, trustworthy and motivated store assistants (aged 18 years or over) to join our small team in our South Derbyshire store located on the busy High Street in Swadlincote.

When?

The store opens daily from 8.30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Saturday each week. As a minimum we are asking for volunteers to commit to a morning or afternoon shift, however, anyone able to to do a whole day shift (more than 6 hours) will be provided with a £3 lunch allowance.

What will you be doing?

Role involves cleaning, sorting, lifting and moving items into and around the shop, setting up displays and dealing with customers.

What skills are required?

The volunteer needs to be physically fit, trustworthy, reliable and have good communication skills. It is also desirable that our volunteers have previous customer experience in a retail setting, although we are happy to teach these skills.

Will training be given or available?

Induction and training will be provided, and for the first two (2) weeks you will shadow another member of staff (who will be your assigned buddy).

Additional important information

Volunteers are required to provide their own safety footwear and to be physically fit as the role does involve cleaning, sorting, lifting and moving items into and around the shop.
