When?
The events run for approximately 30 minutes. Volunteers would be expected to run at least
one session a month. Dates and times to be negotiated with the library.

What will you be doing?
Liaising with library staff to timetable and plan sessions
• Delivering sessions, including songs and rhymes, lasting approximately 30 minutes
• Preparing the area where the event or activity is taking place
• Preparing songs and rhymes for use in the sessions
• Supporting activities such as holiday storytimes and craft activities
• Helping to ensure the smooth running of the event or activity
• Helping to clear away after the events
What skills are required?
A reliable, committed person prepared to volunteer for a minimum of 6 months
• A person with the ability and enthusiasm to work with children, young people and their
families.
• A willingness to comply with the County Council’s Data Protection, Health and Safety,
Equality and Diversity and Environmental policies
No previous experience is required but a willingness to learn and attend training is essential
