Connect Befriending Volunteer
Become a Befriender and brighten somebody's day!
Are you able to provide a 30-minute phone call or a 1 hour home visit each week to someone who is lonely or isolated?
South Derbyshire CVS Connect Befriending service matches adults of any age in South Derbyshire who are lonely or isolated with a like-minded volunteer (befriender).
Our befrienders provide a listening ear and friendly chat once per week, which can make a big difference to somebody's day. Especially if they are older or have health conditions that mean they can't get out and about.
Support is flexible and can fit around your availability. We also provide free training, paid travel expenses and a free criminal record (DBS) check.
