Volunteer Speakers are the face and voice of TWAM locally. They speak to local community groups such as U3A, WI and Rotary. Many are also comfortable speaking to churches. Others attend local events such as farmers' markets and craft fairs to spread the word and even collect tools. There are so many creative ways our ambassadors find to share the amazing work we do.

What will you be doing?
Volunteer Speakers are the face and voice of TWAM locally. They speak to local community groups such as U3A, WI and Rotary. Many are also comfortable speaking to churches. Others attend local events such as farmers' markets and craft fairs to spread the word and even collect tools. There are so many creative ways our ambassadors find to share the amazing work we do.
With TWAM's speaker packs, leaflets, pull-up banners, and projectors, you'll have everything you need to make a lasting impact.
But being a Volunteer Speaker is more than just spreading the word. It's about making a difference in people's lives and forging meaningful connections with local Tool Collectors and other TWAM volunteers. As part of our tight-knit team, you'll have the chance to make new friends and explore your own creativity, all while contributing to our vital mission.
Why we want you
Volunteer Speakers are the face and voice of TWAM locally. This includes
• receiving invitations from a variety of groups and organisations wanting someone to speak about TWAM
• finding other opportunities for sharing TWAM's amazing work
• delivering talks about TWAM in a range of settings and sometimes collecting tools at the event
What you will be doing
• Speaking to groups such as Rotary, U3A and WI
• If comfortable to do so, speaking to churches and other faith groups
• Liaising with local Tool Ambassadors, County Ambassadors and Van Champions ragarding tool collections
What skills are required?
The skills you need
Good communications skills and the confidence to speak to a range of different community groups
Access to transport and if using your own car, compliance with TWAM's legal requirement to check that you have adequate motor insurance cover, current MOT and valid Driving Licence
A passion to transform lives through skills training and talks
