Events Volunteers will provide a helpful and friendly service that will contribute to the
smooth running of the museum events and activities. Helping to plan, develop and implement activities and events. Source sponsors and materials for a range of
activities. Assist on the day by guiding participants and providing a warm welcome for our visitors. You will be on hand to answer any immediate questions, help them to orientate themselves and generally provide the information they need to ensure they
have a comfortable, enjoyable and memorable visit.

Minimum of two hours but flexible based on the needs of the Events team

What will you be doing?

To provide a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors as the public face of Sharpe's Pottery. To help to plan engaging events and activities for all age groups. Dealing with queries from visitors and passing to colleagues if necessary. To be aware of the needs and arrangements for all visitors, including those disabled and families. Assisting with events and guided tours, including helping to set up rooms and clear after events. To follow health and safety policies and procedures at all times. Giving any other appropriate assistance as required.

What skills are required?

Good communication skills, able to work in a small team.
Customer service experience would be an advantage but is not essential. A willingness to learn new skills and take part in tours and events. A general level of fitness as an ability to get around the site is essential.
