Allotment Volunteers
Work Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (and occasionally other days) from 10am–2pm. This team does a bit of everything, but currently spends most of its time in the Secret Garden allotment - an area not yet open to the public - gardening and building paths and raised beds. This group also support nature conservation work across the estate and nature reserve, including pruning, occasional tree felling, tree and bulb planting, cutting back bramble and other invasive plants.
Compliance Volunteers
Work on Tuesdays from 10am. They carry out important checks across the grounds and buildings to support health and safety compliance, including fire safety and water quality testing. It’s not the most glamorous role, but it’s essential in helping keep the estate safe and open to the public.
