We would like to get our residents more engaged in gardening and growing things. We have garden spaces which could be much better utilised and enjoyed if our residents were taught and encouraged to use these spaces and take an interest in the garden and what they can achieve there.

What will you be doing?
We are looking for a volunteer to help support and encourage our residents to make more use of the gardens and outdoor spaces that we have at our houses.
This would suit someone who is passionate about gardening or has a keen interest in helping others to learn and grow their knowledge of gardening.
This would have both physical and therapeutic benefits for the residents and the volunteer alike.
What skills are required?
Gardening knowledge, communication and ability to build rapports with a range of people.
Ability to engage people and help build their confidence and skills.
Is training provided?
Yes
Additional important information
We would provide equipment and PPE as needed.
The role could be flexible and seasonal.
We would also cover transport costs as needed.
