We are looking for a friendly and engaging volunteer to help with befriending and chaperoning some of our residents.

Swadlincote and Woodville, Derbyshire

What will you be doing?
Some of our residents can feel lonely and isolated and feel anxious about going out and doing things which others take for granted.
We would like to be able to offer them more support with this to help them increase their confidence and move towards independence.
Accompanying them to the supermarket, sitting and chatting, assisting them with appointments where appropriate.
What skills are required?
Mentoring and support skills.
Ability to form a positive and engaging rapport with a range of people.
Encourage and give praise to people who struggle with confidence.
