Ready for a flexible volunteering role that’s fun, meaningful and helps to put Rainbows at the heart of your community?
As a volunteer with our Community Fundraising Team, you’ll help raise awareness of Rainbows across the East Midlands, while meeting supporters, fellow volunteers, and Rainbows staff who will make you feel part of the Rainbows community and support you every step of the way.
From bucket collecting at local events, to helping run a stall at a community fête you’ll be inspiring others and raising money to support our amazing work.
Every donation you collect makes a real difference to the babies, children and young people supported by Rainbows. For example, £5 funds arts and crafts materials for our Play Team to bring fun and learning, while £70 funds an hour of music therapy for a child, bringing comfort when they need it most. Every pound you raise really does make a difference!
Some typical activities could involve:
• Star Supporter: Bring the energy at local events - such as car shows, concerts, and fêtes - chatting to people, bucket collecting, and proudly representing Rainbows.
• Community Champion: Attend activities in your community, where running a Rainbows stall not only raises money but also boosts awareness of our work.
• Inspiring Support: Spread the word about how Rainbows supports families across the East Midlands and encourage new people to get involved and make a difference.
• Information Sharer: Help Rainbows reach more people in your local area by displaying posters, promoting events, and spotting new community groups we could work with.
• Tin Tracker: Keep the giving going in your local area – find new locations for a collection tin, collect them once they’re full, bank the funds raised and thank sites for their support.
