Working closely with the cadets and cadet team you will be a vital member of the team providing insight into the many and varied aspects of policing, making our cadets aware of the role of the police in the community and developing their character.

Sense Virtual Buddying volunteers make a real difference to supporting young people and adults who may be lonely or isolated.

Sense matches volunteers with disabled people to meet for an hour a week on Zoom or over the phone. 

Our volunteers have spent thousands of hours with their buddies — learning new skills, having fun, and forming fantastic friendships.

Sense matches each volunteer with someone who has similar interests, to make sure you have a great time. 

You and your buddy choose a time that suits you, and you can decide what activities you’d like to do together.

Local Groups consist of like-minded volunteers who work together to collect tools, sort them and sometimes do basic refurbishment. They generally have access to a garage or two for storage and a large shed or two for sorting. It's a great role for people who enjoy volunteering in a team. Safe and Sound provides support to children, young people and families affected by child exploitation in Derby and Derbyshire, and works to improve knowledge and understanding of the issue nationally, to ensure that those affected receive the support they need to move forwards in their lives. Safe and Sound is now looking for committed individuals with some previous fundraising or marketing experience or who would like to gain experience, to help support our fundraising team.

As a Church Ambassador, you'll be handing out our magazine TWAM News and our Prayer Diary to your fellow church members, and you'll work with other TWAM volunteers, such as Tool Collectors, to arrange tool collections. You'll also encourage your church to support TWAM for Harvest, special collections, and regular support.
