This is an important role that will help enable Safe and Sound to engage with young people in hard to reach and targeted locations across Derbyshire. Safe and Sound provides support to children, young people and families affected by child exploitation in Derby and Derbyshire and works to improve knowledge and understanding of the issue nationally, to ensure that those affected receive the support they need to move forwards in their lives.
Safe and Sound is looking for committed individuals with some previous experience or who would like to gain experience, to help support our Outreach team in the planning and delivery of this programme. Safe & Sound is a specialist organisation which seeks to reach out to children and young people that are at risk of or involved in child exploitation.

We are hoping that you will assist us by working with our dedicated outreach team to deliver outreach work in various areas and venues across Derbyshire.

We seek local governors from a range of backgrounds with different skills and levels of expertise. A local governor will use their skills to work with the principal and the senior leadership team to ensure that the students at their academy receive the best possible education.

As part of the RAF Association, our Connections Volunteers offer the vital connection and support our beneficiaries need. In this role, you will make a real difference by helping support a lonely individual via regular telephone calls.

Derbyshire Youth Justice Service (YJS) trains volunteers for the role of Restorative Justice Facilitator, to enable participation in Youth Justice Panels, after a Referral Order has been imposed by the Court.

The Referral Order is a unique sentence, directly involving the local community, whereby volunteers are asked to get involved. Referral Orders use restorative justice to encourage young people to take responsibility for their behaviour, and at the same time, give them the opportunity to make amends.

The Referral Order Panel is chaired by volunteers from the community, assisted by a member of the YJS. The young person agrees a contract with the Panel which can include reparation or restitution to their victim, as well as undertaking a programme of interventions and activities to address their offending behaviour.

The young person attends regular review meetings with volunteers and their YJS case managers to review and monitor their progress.

We are seeking a friendly, trustworthy and motivated store assistants (aged 18 years or over) to join our small team in our South Derbyshire store located on the busy High Street in Swadlincote.

By joining in with gardening activities you can increase your fitness levels, help us with the garden and learn some basic gardening skills at the same time. We have all the tools you will need, but bring your own gloves. There are various areas that require general garden maintenance: Wildlife, Sensory and Herb gardens.

All sessions are free and we are grateful for your help.

IMB are the eyes and ears of the public, appointed by Ministers to perform a vital task: Independent Monitoring of prisons . Our volunteers report on whether the individuals held are being treated fairly and humanely and whether prisoners are given the support they need to turn their life around. An interesting and challenging role.
